Sidney has extensive global leadership experience, with over 20 years in senior financial management across diverse regulatory and cultural environments in West, North, East and Southern Africa, as well as the UK.
Sidney joined BAT Kenya in 2006, following an early career as an Audit Manager at PwC and Deloitte in Kenya and the UK.
Prior to his current role, he held various Business Unit Finance Director positions within the BAT Group, covering Sub-Saharan Africa, Kenya and East and Southern Africa, Southern Africa Markets and Egypt.
He has a strong track record in business strategy development, operational excellence and financial performance improvement for sustainable value creation.
Sidney is experienced in building and mentoring high-performing teams across different geographies and cultures.
He has extensive experience engaging key stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and deliver business outcomes.
Sidney has served on the boards of BAT Kenya (in both Executive and Non-Executive capacities), South Africa and Mozambique, where he contributed to strategic oversight, corporate governance, policy development and long-term business planning at both national and regional levels.
Academic and Professional Background:
Sidney holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from Catholic University of Eastern Africa and is a Certified Public Accountant (Kenya).
